11:49 pm - ability to control updating and publishing
the recent post in the elfwood journal reminded me of an issue i had a few months back, where it was rather irritating to have to wait for something to go through a ticket line that probably didnt need to.

is it possible to try and modify how the changes are published. i realise modifications to stories porbably need checking over... but could there be two separate functions? (maybe there is and im stupid i dont know) so there's an update button and a publish button?

or perhaps even a way to have a checklist for publishing.. where you can select from the list of new/updated things what you want to go through to the ticket line?

i dunno if its a big enough of a problem for this to be necessary... just an idea

In other words, make it so that a user can have two tickets? One for updates, one for publishing a first instance of a story/image?

I don't think that's such a good idea. Updated art and stories have to be reviewed by a moderator too, and that'd spam up the queue and in essence double the limit on stories and art.

If you're talking about a separate function for non-moderated changes such as updating titles, descriptions, and bios, just publish those BEFORE uploading new art/stories and it's all good. A little bit of planning goes a long ways.
